Continuing from the last issue, I want to talk about video in your
business and the benefits to you for traffic generation.

There are two generally accepted methods of posting videos.

On a popular video service site like YouTube or on your own site.

The advantage to posting to somewhere like YouTube of course is the
massive amount of visitors every day and some of them will look at
your video and hopefully click through to you site to see more.

Once again you need to make sure these visitors are targeted to the
content of your site or they will click away, just as quickly as they
came.

Publishing video on your own site also has its advantages for
traffic – especially when you publish informational or “How To”
videos associated with your site content.

These get picked up very quickly by the search engines (assuming you
have done a good job with your SEO) and they will send targeted
traffic to your site.

Why not do a combination of both – a teaser video on a YouTube type
of service, leading to more on the subject on your own site.
